Coffee and its Benefits/Advantages

Let's face it.  Coffee isn't exactly the healthiest thing for humans to drink.  But, neither is soda.  However, coffee has some advantages and benefits to it.  

  • Coffee can help you lose weight?  What?

       Let me first say that pesticides mess with our health and make us gain weight. If we started eating things that were grown without pesticides, our weight would decline. We, at Green Dragon do just that. We offer all types of coffee. It ranges from Single Origin to Organic. Organic coffee may have higher caffeine amounts. Caffeine is known to help you lose weight. Of course, don't go around drinking eight cups of coffee a day because that may hinder your weight loss, though I'm sure some of you drink that much a day anyway.

  • Coffee has antioxidants?  Really?

       Quite a few fruits like blueberries and raspberries are high in antioxidants. But, did you know that coffee, especially organic coffee, is the biggest source of antioxidants? This is going back to caffeine. Turns out, caffeine is also the source of those antioxidants.  What do these antioxidants do?  Well, they fight toxins in our bodies that damage cells and may cause cancer.

These are just a couple of the health benefits of coffee. As stated above, I wouldn't go around drinking eight cups of coffee a day but two could be beneficial to you. Unlike soda, which is full of other things like sugar and chemicals, coffee beans are just ground and roasted. It's up to you if you want to add sugar and milk to your coffee. I don't know about you, but I may just take up drinking coffee a little more!
