How you know you're getting quality coffee beans

Posted on

In order to choose quality beans for coffee, you have to know how to determine quality in coffee beans. One big issue with a lot of people who try to brew their own coffee is that they just don't know what they're looking for. We know a quality bean, and will ensure every bean used is of the highest kind. We prize our ability to not only commit to Fair Trade and Organic coffee farms, but also the knowledge that these farms will give better quality beans.

A very important factor of choosing coffee beans is knowing the locale they grew in. Generally, higher altitude coffee beans will turn out more crisp and a little more expensive than lower altitude beans - but lower altitude beans tend to have more caffeine. Also equally important is the roast - the method used and how long they were roasted, in addition to comparing small batch to large batch roasting. We roast quality coffee beans in small batches to ensure evenness and smooth flavor in every sip.

The most important thing to consider when choosing quality beans is your individual tastes in coffee. Some people prefer coffee so strong and acidic it could make the spoon melt, and others prefer coffee as strong as tea. The individual's taste varies greatly, and so the importance of this should not be overlooked. If you get great quality Arabica beans but wanted something more like Colombian flavor, it's all for naught.
